Terms of Service

By accessing or using Mirrobyte ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform. Mirrobyte is operated by its founder and sole owner. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mirrobyte.

Mirrobyte is a developer portfolio platform that connects to your GitHub account and generates a living portfolio from your public and private repository activity. The Platform also allows you to create case studies, collect professional references, upload showcase videos, and share your work with potential employers and collaborators.

The Platform is currently in active development. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time without prior notice.

Access to Mirrobyte requires authentication via GitHub OAuth. By signing in, you authorize Mirrobyte to access your GitHub profile information, repository list, commit activity, and other data made available through the GitHub API in accordance with your GitHub account settings and GitHub's own Terms of Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account. Mirrobyte is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

You own your content. Any content you create on Mirrobyte — including case studies, professional references, video uploads, and profile descriptions — remains your intellectual property. You grant Mirrobyte a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and serve that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform on your behalf.

Mirrobyte owns the Platform. The Mirrobyte brand, name, logo, design, source code, and all platform functionality are the exclusive intellectual property of Mirrobyte. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the Platform without explicit written permission.

You agree not to use Mirrobyte to:

• Impersonate another developer or create false portfolio information
• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' profiles or data
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download Platform content without permission

Mirrobyte reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

You may upload video files and other media to Mirrobyte to showcase your projects. By uploading content, you confirm that you hold the rights to that content and that it does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

Mirrobyte stores uploaded files on its servers. You may delete uploaded content at any time through the Platform. Mirrobyte may remove content that violates these terms.

Mirrobyte retrieves data from the GitHub API on your behalf. Your use of GitHub remains subject to GitHub's Terms of Service. Mirrobyte is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by GitHub, Inc.

Mirrobyte may use AI services (including but not limited to Google Gemini and Groq) to generate profile summaries and project descriptions. Generated content is provided as-is without warranty of accuracy.

Mirrobyte does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the Platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mirrobyte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

You may request deletion of your Mirrobyte account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your profile, case studies, references, and uploaded files will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Mirrobyte reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mirrobyte operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
